When will I receive confirmation of my reservation ?
Your confirmation with the official hotel voucher will be sent to you by email and/or fax 24 hours maximum after your booking has been made.
What happens if the hotel I have booked is full ?
If the hotel you have chosen is full, our services will send you an email to let you know there are no vacancies and suggest a different hotel.
If you approve of the new hotel, you will be requested to reconfirm. This new confirmation will replace your precedent reservation.
If you do not approve of the new hotel, we can try and find another solution or if you prefer, cancel your reservation.
If there are no vacancies in the hotel, no costs are owed to Paris-Travel. You will not be debited and your reservation will simply be canceled.
Why do I need to state my credit card ?
There are two reasons :
1. To avoid false reservations
2. To guarantee the pre-payment of your reservation and therefore receive preferential prices obtained through Paris-Travel
Is it possible to modify or cancel my reservation ?
You can cancel your reservation at no cost 8 days before your arrival date.
You can modify your reservation at no cost up to 3 days before your arrival date but please note that certain rates are obtained for hotels on the basis of a stay for a minimum number of nights.
If you cancel your reservation less than 3 working days before arrival, the cost of one hotel night per room that has been reserved will be retained from your reimbursement.

What is included in the hotel rates with Paris-Travel ?
Our prices are shown per room, per night with breakfast, local taxes and service included. When you check out of the hotel, your room will have been paid for. You will only pay for the extra costs (drinks at the bar, mini bar, telephone etc...)
What risks do I run by booking on the internet with my credit card ?
With Paris-Travel you risk nothing at all !
The Paris-Travel site is secured by Verisign, an international organization for coded information.
Also, in 99% cases of embezzelement, credit card numbers are not stolen on the internet : they are stolen in a shop or from a misplaced or forgotten bill, and then the number is used to order or shop online...
In any case, know that you can always stop payment if one day you are victim of a stolen credit card.
What are the arrival and departure times for Parisian hotels ?
The general rule in France is as follows :
Enter your room (check-in) : 3:00 pm
Leave your room (check-out) : 11:00 am
However there is a certain leniency : if you arrive in the morning, your room will be ready, the hotelier will be pleased to give you the keys right away. The same goes for your departure, so long as the hotel is not full, it is possible to keep your room a little longer.
However, if you really wish to keep your room all day on the day of your departure, there will be an extra cost, which, according to the hotel, will correspond to one night or half a night.
How do you define the class of hotel presented on Paris-Travel ?
The stars given to the hotels are part of an official accreditation according to their comfort and the running of the hotel given by the Direction de l'Industrie Touristique Française (French Tourist Industry).
In accordance with the following scale :
**** luxe : luxury hotel exceptional class
**** : hotel with excellent comfort
*** : top tourist hotel, great comfort
** : tourist hotel, good comfort
* : hotel with reasonable comfort
On this basis, as professionals we have however noticed some rather large differences from one hotel to the next and from one city to the next !
Although Parisian hotelerie is on the whole of good quality, we would like to point out certain facts to our clients :
The size of the rooms :
Parisian buildings are of modest size and the same can be said for the size of of the rooms in many of the hotels in Paris.
Therefore for a stay with triple beds, where a bed is often added to a double room, the space is limited...
The view :
We receive many requests for "with a beautiful view" ... Although Paris is a very beautiful city, the narrowness of its streets often does not allow for a view other than onto the streets or onto an inside courtyard.There are some hotels ofcourse that are an exception (Lutetia, Terrass hotel etc...) but there are not that many.
Do the hotels selected by Paris-Travel all have toilets and bathrooms ?
Yes, all of them ! We might be an old country in ancient Europe, but we have discovered the use of toilets and bathrooms !
So, sorry for the nostalgic few but there are no more toilets in the corridor with an accordeon in the background since about a century ago.
How do you make your selection of Paris hotels ?
