In this neighbourhood, made popular over the past few decades, one doesnt get bored ! One can visit the Place de Vosges and several town houses that make this area so charming. One can stroll through the busy streets to discover some of the most extravagant shops, take a break on a café terrace, dine in one of the numerous restaurants ... and go dancing ...

Two museums in particular deserve a visit : The Musée Picasso and the Musée Carnavalet. The latter was the residence of Madame de Sévigné and, bought by the city of Paris in 1880, the Musée Carnavalet recounts the history of Paris and its inhabitants, from its prehistoric origins to today, through a presentation of several works, objects, furniture, and archeological remnants. Good to know : the to visit the permanent collections is free.

The Hôtel de Ville (town hall) is a magnificent palace in the Renaissance style. It houses several exhibitions and its rooms can be visited during the Nuits Blanches (a Saturday evening in October). An ice skating rink is set up in front of its magnificent façade during the month of December.
